Madam, I would like to comment on the article of September 9th, regarding EU rules (laws) on learner motorbike riders being unable to ride alone, plus the other related issues from the Third Driving Licence Directive (law).

No amount of MPs or MEPs jumping about indignantly will have the slightest effect of stopping this Brussels driven juggernaut. These unelected bureaucrats are simply there to invent new rules (laws) so to justify their inflated salaries, paid for by you and me.

The simply question is; who governs Britain? Certainly not Westminster, which has become nothing more than a rubber stamp to all these directives (laws) that emanate from that corrupt organisation.

A good example is the Lisbon Treaty, which if ratified would take away the last vestige of sovereignty in this country. The Irish people came up with the 'wrong' answer. They have to try again in the EU's hope of giving the 'right' answer. Best of three? No way. Democracy? Blimy O'Riley, you couldn't make it up. President Mugabe of Zimbabwe must be shaking his head in disbelief.
