OVER 100 people watched the free screening of Universal Pictures’ film Wicked on Saturday night at the bandstand in Ross-on-Wye.

Despite the windy weather, which reduced the size of the screen, the eager audience made use of the deckchairs or brought their own seating, to watch the film which runs for 160 minutes.

The event, the last of the summer activities hosted by Ross Town Council, was originally scheduled for the previous week, but was postponed from last week due to the bad weather.

Adding to the occasion, were several young girls who attended wearing witches’ outfits to make it an musical event to remember.

The town council is now asking the public if they would like another movie screening under the stars in the future?
