MADAM, I am pleased to let your readers know that during November, our firm Harrison Clark Shawcross in Ross-on-Wye, is taking part in Will Aid.

Will Aid is the UK's top charity Will-writing scheme. It offers everyone the opportunity to make or update their Will with a professional solicitor, in return for a donation to help people in need in the UK and all over the world.

We are offering to draw up basic Wills without charging our usual fee. In return for this service, we hope clients will donate a small fee to the Will Aid charities. This is the opportunity to give to charity, rather than paying a solicitor.

As a guide, the suggested amount is just £90 for a single Will, £135 for a pair of 'matching' Wills and £40 for a codicil or change to an existing Will.

Will Aid clients will also be able to register their Wills free with Certainty, the National Will Register. This means that a Will can be quickly and easily located when it is needed.

The money raised from donations will be shared by nine well-known UK charities: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (Northern Ireland).
