The Herefordshire Short Mat Bowls A team captained by Colin Barnes played a match against a Wariwickshire A team at the Wyken Centre on Sunday, November 16th and chalked up an excellent victory. They won six and drew one of the eight games in the morning session, and held the afternoon session at four games each. Their final score was 21 points to 11, giving them a result of 27 points to 13 with the bonus points (202 shots to 173)

The Fours team of Jean Austin, Kath Bradley, John Stringer, and Peter Rawdanowicz, won both their games, as did Jo and Brian Claessen in the Pairs, and their Captain, Colin Barnes in his single game.
