Three local ‘artists’ have won the right to help the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Councillor Nigel Gibbs, switch on the Christmas lights in Ross at the annual Christmas Fayre.

They entered the competition, run in conjunction with the Ross Gazette, with their creations showing what Christmas in Ross means to them.

The winner of the Under eight category is Eleri Bateman, age five, who also wins a prize donated by Tudor Sweets.

Jessica Chandler is the winner in the eight to 15 age category and she also wins a book voucher donated by Rossiters.

Jane Wheble won the over 16 category and a voucher for Caffé Eleganza.

The three winners have been invited to join the Mayor in the Market Place at 4pm to help press the button to light up the Christmas tree and the Market House.
