Local resident, Abi Moreton, took to Facebook on Tuesday, March 26th to warn others about the pranks that children are playing on the roads.

At around 8.25pm, she was driving down Walford Road, Ross-on-Wye, and as she pulled out of Roman Way she 'saw an object on the floor'. Abi said how it was only when she looked again that she saw a face looking back at her in the headlights.

Lying in the road was a young boy, so she 'immediately' braked to avoid hitting him. Abi said that he still didn’t move, and when she finally stopped he jumped up off the floor and laughed before running away.

Abi said: "If your kids are out please make sure you speak to them. Someone who may have not noticed as quick would have in no doubt hit them and most probably caused some serious damage, if not death!

"Kids out there this is not a game this is not funny! I could have killed you tonight."She told the Ross Gazette: "I think the more people that know about it the more vigilant people can be."

The police told the Ross Gazette that reports of this type of incident have not been made.
