This weekend is the last chance to hear inspiring speakers at the unique Women in Aviation exhibition at the Jet Age Museum, Staverton.?
On Saturday, May 25th,at 11am, a front line Fast Jet Typhoon pilot will give a talk with film about her career in the Royal Air Force. At 2pm a World Record Holder Paraglider pilot will be describing her amazing achievements with video.
On Sunday, May 26th at 11am a pilot with Cathay Pacific Airlines will talk about life as a Civil Airline pilot with video and finally at 2pm an Army Air Corps pilot will describe flying the military Wildcat helicopter, its battlefield utility, search and rescue and anti-surface warfare roles.
The extensive static exhibition focuses on local girl Amy Johnson’s record breaking, solo flight from the UK to Australia in 1930 without a compass and only maps on her lap. Be very surprised just how much women were involved in from WW1 to the present day.
An 18 foot Timeline illustrates women’s achievements in the armed forces and civilian life.

The exhibition is open on May 26th and 27th, from 10am to 4pm.
