WESTON Athletic's 100% winning start to the season was ended on Saturday when they could only draw with a youthful Redmarley team three all. However Weston can feel themselves fortunate not to lose to the strongest side they have faced all season and were thankful to their top scorer Eli Wooding for equalising in the 89th minute.

The turning point of the game came in the 88th minute. Captain Paul Burnham took control of the ball and played in Wooding. He managed to spin the last two defenders and finish powerfully into the bottom corner to even things up at 3 – 3, with almost the last kick of the game. Golf In Man of the Match was Eli Wooding.

On a frustrating afternoon Weston can feel themselves lucky to keep their unbeaten start to the season.

This week Weston make the trip to face Mushet and Coalway United at Coalway with kick off at 2pm.
