Herefordshire Humanists are hosting Poet Laureate and local author Ben Ray on March 25th, who will be delivering readings from his latest book in his acclaimed ‘Tightrope Between the Stones’ talk.

Ben’s selection of poetry will bring his unique brand of playfulness, reflection and fun, as well as draw from historical influences from his time studying history at Oxford.

As well as delivering poetry in several competitions, Ben has published his book, ’After the Poet, the Bar’. Ben has also spoken at the Ledbury Poetry Festival, continues to hold poetry workshops and hopes to continue his education in Europe.

Before hearing from Ben the group will be endeavouring a short circular walk (starting at 11am at the Weston Cross) through the local woodland and hills, returning to the Inn for poetry and a meal, booked for 1.30pm. Parking is available at the Weston Cross, Weston under Penyard, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7NU.

All are welcome and anybody interested in attending should contact the group on Facebook, calling 01989 565591 or by emailing: [email protected]
