They are reaching for the moon in this year’s Wye Valley River Festival, as the full Programme has just been launched, showcasing two weeks of world class art and entertainment May 5th - 20th.

Marvellous events will spring up along the river and in the woods between Hereford and Chepstow, within the Wye Valley AONB, including Hoarwithy (May 10th), Ross-on-Wye (May 10th), Symonds Yat (May 5th & 6th) and Lydbrook (May 7th). Hot from the Commonwealth Games in Australia is The Museum of the Moon, a special collaboration between Cadw & the Wye Valley AONB Partnership, which brings this international artwork to Tintern Abbey (May 14th - 20th).

The programme includes The Magical Woodland and ‘Tree and Wood’ at Symond’s Yat Rock on the Bank Holiday weekend, where you can join the woodland gathering, picnic amongst the trees and be entertained by musicians and a travelling theatre show, and then journey into the forest for the world premiere of ’Tree and Wood’, a musical performance exploring our relationship with trees and forests. There will be entertainment with Lydbrook Band and ‘Heart to Hart’ at Lydbrook Tump Fete on the Bank Holiday Monday too.
