A MUCH-LOVED woolly artwork is set to go on a tour around Ross-on-Wye, thanks to a plan by Councillor Richard McEvoy.

The colourful “Yellow Submarine” creation, made by local artist Knitser, has already drawn admiration from residents and visitors alike.

Councillor McEvoy now hopes to keep the piece in town by displaying it in a different Ross business each month.

He has invited 12 shops and local organisations to host the submarine on rotation throughout the year, saying it has become “a definite discussion point” and a popular photo opportunity.

Councillor McEvoy said he wanted the project to celebrate creativity in Ross while encouraging people to visit local shops: “It’s a wonderful piece that deserves to be seen and enjoyed by everyone in town.”
