TWO 22-year-old entrepreneurs have opened a new tattoo and piercing studio in Ross-on-Wye.
Kindred Ink opened last week with Holly Jade and Lauren Burrett bringing a fresh creative space with the new multi-functional studio in the town’s High Street.
This will provide beginner tattoo lessons, art lessons and tuition in digital printing, digital marketing.
The premises has recently undergone a full refurbishment and the team has secured the necessary licences, transforming the building into a bright, open, hygiene-first studio designed with safe working practices, and a welcoming environment for consultations and community creativity.
Holly Jade has already built strong links with the town having been taught to tattoo locally and worked as an artist for over a year. Lauren brings four years of local tattooing experience and a passion for collaborative, client-led design.
Both girls say the studio is about more than tattoos, it’s about building something creative, professional, and rooted in the town.
The space is also creating allowance for 5x people to be employed, with scope for development and other opportunities.
“We’re proud to be opening in Ross and creating a space that feels clean, calm, bright and welcoming,” said Holly.
“It’s been a huge amount of work to get the building ready and everything else concerned with running a business, but we wanted to do it properly,”
Lauren said: “We understand that there are reservations for certain types of business, but we want this to be more than just a tattoo studio and are dedicated to helping others within the creative space.
“We have four desks equipped with high resolution screens for collaborating, designing and producing content.”
Holly said that they are more than capable of turning their ambitious ideas into action and concluded: “We’ve always believed tattoos should be a great experience from start to finish through consultation, design, hygiene, comfort, and aftercare.”
