Ross CC's Second XI travelled to the Hedges Ground for their latest encounter v Bromsgrove in the Worcester County League on Saturday August 25th.

Ross batted first with openers Andrew Stacey (15) and Tony Leslie (14) making a promising start until Leslie was caught first. Number 3, Robbie Stonadge was soon adjudged LBW for 0 which brought skipper Stuart Tucker (33*) to the crease and he set about building a partnership with Keith Flitton (26*) until - with what seem like monotonous regularity - the weather came into play.

The game was abandoned due to torrential rain after 28.1 overs with Ross on 103 for 3. William Tuffin (7-0-17-1), Chris Burford (8-2-21-1) and George Stanhope (6-0-26-1) each picked up a wicket for Bromsgrove.
