Ross Tennis Centre’s Ladies B team have now completed three matches in Division 4 of the Herefordshire and Worcester Summer League and can be quite content with the start they have made. All the matches have been played away from home, securing two 4-0 wins and a 1-3 loss.

In the first match at Eardisley, Lynn O’Driscoll and Sandy Faulkes won both their matches in straight sets, whilst Hayley Jackson and Jane Thomas won both matches although they were pushed to three sets against the first pair.

Pairings were switched around in the second match at Woolhope, due to Lynn being away. Hayley partnered with Sandy and Karen Vitale paired up with Bridget Hiram. Three close losses were hard to take, but Sandy and Hayley did take some satisfaction due to their convincing win against the Woolhope second pair.

The latest match against Hereford Whitecross reunited Sandy and Lynn and normal service was resumed as they won both their matches in straight sets, as did Hayley, this time partnering Ginnie Higgins.

With four consecutive home matches, the team are looking to reverse the Woolhope scoreline and take control of the Division.

The Ladies A Team’s only fixture so far in the Summer League was postponed due to wet conditions! Spectators are welcome for their next home matches, on June 14th, at 6.30pm.
