Christmas has come early at Bridstow Primary School with pupils celebrating the delivery of over £600 worth of brand new sports kit, including hockey sticks, rugby balls and athletic equipment.
Pupils raised the money to buy the items by participating in a ‘Sports for Schools’ fitness challenge, led by paralympic athlete Katrina Hart who visited the school, near to Ross-on-Wye, earlier in the term.
Oliver Evans, the school’s sports co-ordinator, told the Ross Gazette, “Raising so much money was a fantastic achievement for our pupils, and having all this new equipment will make it possible to offer even better opportunities for PE and competitive sports at Bridstow Primary School.”
