Ross-on-Wye and District Motor Sports Club held their first event of the New Year on January 2nd at the Cattle Market. Despite a rainy day there were 18 entrants competing over five well designed courses

The event was won overall by Adrian Gwynne in his Mazda MX5, second overall, and first in class, was Jon Haile in his Peugeot 205.

The competitors seemed to enjoy the five different courses set, giving them variety, and with such large numbers of entrants, a chance to trial their headlights on the last test which was completed at 4.30pm.

Paul Morris had the thankless task of setting out the cones on such a dreadful day and the Club is also grateful to the Marshalls who stood outside in the appalling weather for the afternoon.

The club hopes to hold the next autotest event at the Cattle Market on 20th February. Anyone interested in joining the club will be made welcome at the club house in Kyrle Street every Thursday from 8pm.
