In the second midweek game played recently, Ross Juniors, despite missing many key players still managed a comfortable win against Kingstone. The game started in bright sunshine, but ended with heavy rain and a torrential hailstorm.

Striker Jimmy Moreton making his debut was a handful for the away defence, with his powerful running and shooting from outside of the box.

Ross took the lead in the 16th minute when Andy Francis, playing in an unfamiliar position at left back, played a great ball to Jimmy Moreton. The striker cut in and played in Ted Loftus who dinked the ball cleverly over the advancing keeper.

Just before half time Ted Loftus got his second to make it 2-0. His powerful 30 yard free kick daisy cutter left the keeper no chance.

The second half was all one way traffic. So much so that keeper Alex Goode did not have to make a save until the last few minutes. In the 54th minute Ben Hall made a surging run on the right and floated the ball over the keeper from 26 yards into the top corner.

In his final game before his six month sabbatical, Ben Hall made it 4-0 with a thunderous volley from just inside the box in the 61st minute.

Ross completed the scoring in the 86th minute to make it 5-0 with Ted Loftus getting his hat trick. He turned in a Ben Hall cross into the back of the net with a deft half volley.

The Eagle Inn man of the match was Ted Loftus for some neat finishing.
