ROSS ladies travelled to Cirencester once more to take on Cirencester 2nds this Saturday but unfortunately the score did not reflect the effort put in by the whole team which was a 4-0 loss.

Ross started strongly despite only fielding 10 players. In an end-to-end game, the Ross defence of Beth Ralph, Kate Powell, Amy Bowen and Becky Pass worked well to dampen the intensity of the opposition's attack.

Cirencester was rewarded with an early short corner and a well-struck ball left Ralph with little chance in goal.

Despite the early goal Ross battled hard and midfield Nessa Ball, Steph Price and Kate Cameron created great play linking well with forwards Louise Cross, Lucy Perkins and Alex Jones. A late goal in the first half saw the score line 2-0 at half time.

In the second half Ross put in a strong performance and as Cirencester began to tire Ross moved up a gear creating space within the midfield allowing Cameron and Price to push up the field and switch the ball to Jones on the wing.
