In the Men’s National Top Club, Ross beat Ledbury BC away, in the Preliminary round. Following this they beat Brimfield BC, then St Martins in Home games but were beaten in the, out of area, Round Three away, against Cheltenham BC. The team consisted of Paul Brown, Two Wood Singles; Dan Palmer; Four Wood Singles, Martin Smith and Robert Gwilliam, Pairs; Paul Rainthorpe (Team Captain), Dave Magness, Barry Payne, Triples; Ian Roe, Richard Cooke, Jeremy Watkins, and John Cummings, Rinks; Reserves: Mike Baugh, Adge Ruck, Dave Watkins, and Glyn Williams.

In the National Double Rink both the A and B teams were beaten in the early rounds of the Competition. Men’s County Championships have seen poor results across the competitions this season, the only remaining Club members going into the semi-finals are Martin Smith and Dave Magness, who will play each other in the Singles.

The Men’s County Finals will be on July 15th at Ross Bowling Club, which starts at 10am. In the Ladies’ County Four Wood Singles Kate Williams and Jenny Murray are through to the Quarterfinals, which will be played at Ross Bowling Club on July 16th. Spectators are most welcome to come and watch both games.

In the Wyvern League, Ross Men are currently second and Ross Ladies are top of the League, both with three games left to play.

In the three rinks Men’s County Cup, Ross won away against Ledbury BC with a steady performance by the players. Ross play away against Kington BC on Friday, July 15th.

In the Club fixtures this season they have won 34 games and lost 32, but there are still 45 fixtures to play, plus a Club mixed tour to Torquay in September.
