THE British Superbikes moved on to Oulton Park, Cheshire over the weekend for the third round of the Championship Races.
Local rider, Luke Jones, riding in the 600 Super Sport Cup Races, had one race on Sunday and was placed 11th overall in the race and second in the cup.
Luke had qualified in 11th place in the third row on the grid. He had a good race, but was held with a couple of riders, which made it hard for him to overtake. However, he was second at the chequered flag to Glen Irwin, who took both wins and is leading the cup championship by 12 points
The second race on Bank Holiday Monday found Luke on the third row. He had a good start but went back to 13th at the chequered flag.
Luke had a brake problem, which didn't help, but he ended up second. The Jones family and race team were pleased with Luke's efforts. They are grateful to KGD Industries of Hereford and all who help Luke.
The next meeting is at Snetterton on May 25th, 26th and 27th.
