Having already won Division 6 West of the H & W Winter League with a match in hand, Goodrich ’C’hasers were determined to keep a clean sheet in their final match at home to Hallow ’C’ on Saturday, February 17th.

First pair, Kirsten Mathews and Di Webb, got off to a flying start, winning their first rubber 6-2/6-4, whilst on the other court, Sue Harley and Carolyn Riddell also had a fine win, 6-0/6-0.

Following the changeover, the second rubber was played in similar fashion with Kirsten and Di winning 6-0/6-0, and Sue and Carolyn also claiming victory with a 6-2/6-3 score-line.

Overall, the team picked up a total of 58 points out of 60 from six matches. The ladies are already looking forward to playing Winter tennis in Division 5.
