Ross RFC 2nds played their first home league game of the year on 8th March against Stourbridge Lions and were victorious 38-21. Ross started brightly with a mixture of old and young players but it was Stourbridge who took the initiative with the point scoring, going in to score under the posts and convert the try.

Ross were untidy mid way through the half but managed to score in the corner through centre Tom Muldowney. Stourbridge hit back with a succession of quick converted tries and it took veteran fullback Chris Gage in his return game for many a month to keep Ross in touch when he dummied out wide to score and convert his own try making the score 12-21 at the break.
