Goodrich Ladies ‘C’hasers travelled to Hereford Whitecross to play their ‘B’ team on Saturday, January 12th.

First pair, Carolyn Riddell and Kim Martin, did not show any signs of Christmas fatigue when they won their first rubber against the Whitecross first pair in fine style, taking it 6-1 / 6-2.

Meanwhile, playing on the adjacent court, second pair, Kayla Coopey and Katie Hunt did even better, dropping just a single game, recording a 6-0 / 6-1 victory.

After a short break, play resumed in similar fashion, with Carolyn and Kim, now playing the Whitecross second pair, duplicated their first result of a 6-1 / 6-2 win. Kayla and Katie also won their second rubber against the home team’s first pair, with a 6-2 / 6-1 win. So it was a clean sweep for the ‘C’hasers who dropped just 10 games and picked up 10 valuable points.

This win puts them in third place in Division 5 of the Hereford & Worcester Winter League, and the team are looking forward to their next match which will be away to top of the table Ludlow Castle ‘B’ on Sunday, February 10th.
