A humid evening on August 2nd, made it sticky work for the all RDFCC field, and produced the closest result of the year, during the Lydbrook 10m TT race.
Just a single second separated the two Daves, with Dave Bucknall sneaking a victory from Dave Pearce with a time of 23:18. Adam Taylor came home in 3rd with a strong 23:42 time.

Speech House Hill Climb: August 9th
Colin Parry of Severn Valley Cycles, made the tough climb of Speech House look far too easy. With a winning margin of 31 seconds from RDFCC’s Adam Taylor, Colin was only a second from the course record.

Club rides
Anyone is welcome to go along to a try a ride with the club. These rides start at 9am from Parkend every Sunday, alternating MTB and Road rides.
9am juniors rides are also run by the club’s Youth section. All are welcome and nobody will be left behind.
Time trials are held on Tuesday evenings from 7pm, and these run until the end of the summer. If you are interested in finding out a little more about the club, visit their website:?www.rdfcc.org.uk, where there are further details of all their activities.
Tour of Britain
Thursday, September 8th will see a professional peloton come through the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley, as a part of the Tour of Britain.
All are welcome to go to join RDFCC cheer on the pros as they tackle the Speech House climb at 1pm approximately, on their way from Aberdare to Bath.
