Local runner Tom Symonds took the honours at the Ross-on-Wye 10K race on Sunday, smashing the course record in the process.
Tom raced home in hot sunshine in 34.42 minutes. He told the Ross Gazette that he was thrilled to win again after winning the event a couple of years ago. He said he could not take part last year as he had a back injury.
Isobel Rosie was first home among the women, in a time of 46 minutes and 53 seconds. She was closely followed by Emma Heath and Julia Abbott, who both finished in under 49 minutes.
