The second year of All Stars Cricket is proving to be a big hit at Aston Ingham Cricket Club.

Thirty six children have signed up to date and the sunshine brought a full compliment of children for Week 2 of the programme.

All Stars Cricket is primarily for five-eight year old boys and girls. The aim of the English Cricket Board Initiative is to introduce youngsters to the game through game based exercises, introducing batting, bowling and fielding, and above all to bring a huge amount of fun to each session.

Each child receives a t shirt with their name on, a bat, ball, water bottle and rucksac to carry the kit in.

These youngsters will be encourged by the senior players, the newly promoted 1st XI are three wins from three games in Division 3 of the Gloucestershire County League. They are topping the table, as are the second eleven.

The newly formed 3rd XI have been defeated twice, in competitive games, but are playing with a great spirit introducing the older members of the junior section to adult cricket.
