Aston Ingham prepare for England cricket coach visit

Chris Taylor, who had a very successful career with Gloucestershire CCC, as a player and as Captain, (2000-11) before becoming a specialist fielding coach, will be visiting Aston Ingham CC later this month.

The recent England Head Fielding Coach, who is currently Head Fielding Coach at Surrey CCC, is to give the Aston Ingham youth section his expertise, when he comes to Newent School Leisure Centre to run three sessions.

The session on Friday, February 21, from 6 30pm - 7 30pm, will involve specialist fielding skills for the club’s older junior section, then a combination of fielding, batting and wicket keeping skills training will be delivered on Friday, March 6 and March 13.

Further sessions are taking place on March 20 and 27 and on April 3, 10 and 17, 5.30pm -6.30pm (7-11 years), and 6.30pm -7.30pm (11-15 years). Practice moves outdoors from Friday, April 24 at the club at Stockings Field, Mill Lane, Kilcot, GL18 1NU.

The club runs three adult league sides, with senior pre season nets taking place at Hartpury College on Sunday mornings from March 1, 8, 15 and 22, 9-10.30am, all welcome.
