LOCAL cricketer and JKHS pupil, Chloe Tingle, who plays for Ross Cricket Club 1st team, has just returned from a very successful cricket tour of Barbados with the National U14 cricket festival team which is made up with girls from all over the country.

They were due to play four games in seven days but unfortunately one game was abandoned.

The first game was a T20 and the National team batted first scoring 88-6, the Barbados team then scored 87-8 with Chloe recording bowling figures of 4-0-16-0.

In game two the National team scored 110-7 off 31 overs and then proceeded to bowl out Barbados for 51 with Chloe taking the last wicket

Game three was abandoned after three overs, but when the rain did stop the two teams enjoyed a game of football.

Game four the National team were all out for 84, the bowlers then took over again and bowled Barbados out for 34 off 25 overs with Chloe taking three wickets and a run out. Chloe’s bowling figures were 2-1-2-3.

The National team won the series 3-0 against a team that consisted of much older girls. They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves as did the parents that went with them.

Chloe finished the tour with the fielder of the tour award and she is now looking forward to county trials before a well deserved break before winter training.
