The cricket season has finished and John Kyrle student, Chloe Tingle, can reflect on a fantastic time culminating in being awarded the county colours tie, which it is believed, has never been awarded to a girl before.
Chloe represents the John Kyrle High School at cricket but she has also had an extremely successful club season. Chloe plays for Ross Cricket Club at U13 level.
This season, she has won the best bowler award for the Herefordshire Youth League in a boys’ team. Chloe also represents the county at U13 level and, for the second year running, she has won best bowler. Chloe also ended up representing the U15 team and was awarded best bowler in that age group, finishing in the ECB top 15 bowlers in the country at this level.
Chloe was also recognised at the awards’ night as being the best bowler within the county at all age levels, boys and girls.
Chloe’s talent has been noticed by other coaches and she was selected to play in the summer for a National Festival Team at Malvern Cricket Festival against U15 and U19 girls’ teams with many of the girls being from first class cricketing counties.
Chloe has now been selected to play next season for the National Cricket Festival team who are touring to Barbados in August.
The school is very proud of Chloe and looks forward to seeing where her achievements will take her in the future.
