IN his first season as captain, Sam Griffiths led his team through the summer in the Marches League to take the title, undefeated throughout.

Ledbury were the last scalp of the season visiting Hilltop Paradise with hopes of avoiding relegation, Ledbury won the toss and elected to field.

Rory Jackson led the batting attack scoring a fine 50, supported further down the batting order by Joe Provis 32 and Joe Griffiths with 38. James O’Brien, Sam Griffiths, Christoper Tookey and RGC Davies added to a final score of 237.

Sarah Evans provided the freshest scones, buttered, with homemade jam and clotted cream, preparing players for the second half.
