Gorsley pupils welcome Cricket World Cup

The Cricket World Cup visited Gorsley Goffs Primary School on Tuesday 12th March, as part of its World Tour.

The World Cup Team delivered an assembly which included a short film, featuring England Cricket Legend, Andrew Freddie Flintoff. Coaches, Dave Skyrme, and Phil and Colin Leighton, from Aston Ingham Cricket Club,  were on hand to run cricket games with each class throughout the morning. The club has built up strong links with the school in recent years, through the English Cricket Boards Chance 2 Shine and All Star Initiatives.

On Saturday, March 30th, Aston Ingham Cricket Club hold their annual Race Night at Lea Village Hall and on Monday, April 15th, the club host a Marquee Dinner with Jonathan Agnew at Rock Farm.
