Ross Cricket Club is holding a family fun six a side tournament on the afternoon of Bank Holiday Monday, August 29th. This is intended to be a fun event, a key factor is to get parents, siblings, friends and any others not mentioned, involved.

It will mean members from different age groups communicating with each other, with encouragement from family etc.

There has already been a good level of interest but the success of the day needs as many people as possible to get involved, whether manning a stall, barbecuing, playing, or just there to support.

Each team must consist of an U11, U13, U15, a girl/lady, a parent and then you can ‘buy’ a first teamer on the day. The idea is for everyone to enjoy themselves, to get the whole club together, and get to know members of different sections. It is the last major cricketing event of the year, prior to the awards night, when the club hopes to be able to award the winners’ trophy to a deserving side.

Get involved, show us your desire to be involved in your local cricket club which has great plans for the future.

The Fun Day, which is sponsored by Wye Security, also includes a bouncy castle and lots of sporting competitions with prizes.
