A superb knock of 44 points saw home player, Mark Foster, retain the Seniors Open title at South Herefordshire Golf Club. In terrific conditions with the course once more excellently set up, almost 100 golfers from across Herefordshire and Gloucestershire took part. In second place overall was Norman Wetson with 42 points from Minchinhampton Old Course and John Hall from South Herefordshire was placed third with 40 points. Norman took the visitors prize with Steven Millard in second spot.

The Men’s section Monthly Medal was again very well supported. Martin Latham took the first division with a net 68, narrowly edging out Simon Sharpe on count back. Tom Maddox continued his excellent season, winning division two with a net 68 whilst Phin Parsons shot 70 to take second place.

The recent midweek medal saw Barry Howells narrowly defeat James Price on a card count back with a very well played medal round of 70 net.
