Weston played Brimfield away in the quarter final of the Frank Peterson Cup and lost 5-0.

Brimfield, who play in the league above put pressure on Weston's defence from the kick off and scored two goals in the first ten minutes. It was always going to be a struggle to get back in touch but the team settled and created several chances, Chris Baverstock had a shot well saved and Wes Parker went close with a superb free kick. At the other end goal keeper Tony Stevens was kept busy by the two Brimfield strikers. Just before half time Brimfield scored their third.

The second half saw Brimfield create more chances but again Tony Stevens pulled off three one on one saves to keep Weston fighting. Tom Penman had a brilliant chance to score but put the ball over the cross bar from less than six yards. As the game went on Brimfield scored two more goals. Both teams enjoyed a hard but fair game and the referee, Tony Kelly had a excellant game in the middle.Dunbar Packaging man of the match went to Tony Stevens.

Weston are considering entering an over 40's team in the HFL vets league, the games will be played from May until August.
