Ross Juniors Sunday were back in league action to shake away last week's cup final disappointment and thumped HWX away in an evening fixture, last Wednesday. Decimated by injuries and work commitments Ross had the bare eleven players.

Ross came racing out of the blocks and had the game wrapped up in the first thirty minutes.

The first goal came in the 2nd minute. A neat Carl Roberts free kick was met by Damon Beaumont in the box and he tapped the ball in the back of the net.

Ross' second goal came in the 24th minute when Adam Beaumont went on a surging run from right back and as he entered the penalty box he drilled a low hard shot that gave the keeper no chance. His brother Damon's cross caused havoc in the 28th minute when the defender headed past his own keeper to make it 3-0.

Rob MacAfee used his speed to clear a ball off the line as HWX has their first shot on target. This ignited Ross and Andrew Densley made it 4-0 when his corner went directly in.

HWX were hoping that Ross would not keep the same pass and moving going for another 45 minute, but if anything Ross played even better in the second half and turned on the style.

Goal number five came in the 51st minute, midfielder Andrew Densely played a great cross field ball to youngster Bobby Hatch. His touch was impeccable and he finished low into the corner.
