Goodrich ‘B’ashers Ladies played host to Eardisley Ladies ‘B’ team recently. Conditions were difficult due to a swirling wind, but ‘B’ashers first pair, Jill Brown and Katie Hunt were pleased to take the first set 6-1. The second set was a tighter affair with Eardisley matching Goodrich in games until Jill and Katie got the break of serve then served the set out, 6-4. ‘B’ashers second pair, Kirsten Mathews and Wendy Jenkins, adjusted their game to the conditions, adapting their serves to take into account wind direction, and quickly wrapped up both sets 6-0 / 6-0.
