On Saturday Ross Juniors faced a tough challenge playing at home against current league leaders, and the most successful team in the Herefordshire Premier League for the last decade, Ewyas Harold. Ross had been thumped 5–2 in the reverse fixture, the week previous, and had a point to prove. Ross gave Harold an almighty scare going 1 up at half time, but eventually the away side's class showed through and they eventually won 3–1.

Ross got the goal they deserved in the 20th minute, in somewhat fortunate fashion, Hall made an excellent turn out wide on the left and whipped an excellent ball into the box, which was missed by everyone and found its way into the goal at the back post. Smart defending by Sam Loftus and Greg Burford, and two excellent saves from Carl Roberts kept Ross' narrow lead in tact at half time.

Harold came out of the block like a shot in the second half, and they were soon back level when Ross' marking was lacking from a freekick. Harold took the lead on 65 minutes, despite what appeared to be a handball in the build up. Late on, as Ross pushed for the equaliser, Ewyas Harold scored again to finish the match. All Barred up Man of Match – Matt Davies – since joining the club recently he has been a true revelation.

Ross Manager, Dan Morris is now looking forward to Saturday's ?HFL Senior Cup quarter final match away, at Fownhope in a 1.30pm kick off.
