IT was a clean sweep for the Goodrich ’D’ynamos on Saturday, October 20th, when they travelled to Ledbury on a beautiful Autumn morning to play their ’C’ team in Division 6 of the Hereford and Worcester Winter League.

Kim Martin and Kirsten Mathews started slowly, dropping the first two games, but recovered to take the first set 6-2. In the second set, once again they went down early, but rallied to secure the second set 6-3.

Meanwhile, Karen Hawley and Ros Wadswirth had a very tight first set before taking it 7-5, and then as they relaxed and grew in confidence they wrapped up the second set in some style, 6-0.

In the second rubber, Kim and Kirsten proved too strong for Ledbury, dropping only one game in each set, whilst Karen and Ros took their confidence into the next rubber and produced a very fine win, 6-2 / 6-3.

An excellent morning’s work securing all 10 points. Well done ’D’ynamos. Their next match is on Sunday, November 4th, away to Madley ’B’ ladies.
