Ross Juniors Sunday team beat Causals 3-1 away. Ross showed why they need a big squad with several players away or unavailable. Many players had to play in unaccustomed positions but they stepped up to the mark.

Ross were fired up from the start and pushed the home team back. Damon Beaumont struck the post from a tight angle in the third minute after a good pass from Eli Wooding. The winger made another exquisite pass to midfielder Dan Morgan and he, in turn, provided a through ball to youngster Mark Parnham, making his debut, who had a tidy finish from nine yards.

Ross were creating chance after chance with Ben Gardener, Sam Loftus and Chris Davies going close. So it was no surprise after 14 minutes when Ross made it 2-0. Ben Gardner volleyed in well from a Beaumont cross.

The killer third goal came in the 24th minute when Eli Wooding (playing with an injured foot) played a sublime 50 yard pass that found Damon Beaumont in the penalty box and he chipped the goalie.

The defence of Carl Roberts Matt Davies, Sam Loftus, Rob McAfee were looking strong and ensured that keeper Dan Morris had a quiet first half.
