Bob Barker took first place in the auto test organised by the Ross and District Motor Sports Club at the livestock centre on February 18th, with 13 entrants participating. The weather was dry, making for an enjoyable afternoon consisting of five tests with three runs on each.
First overall was Bob Barker in his Dutton B+, second overall was Richard McLachlan in Bob’s Dutton B+ which made a very good shootout as they are rivals within different classes. Ollie Jenkins was third in his Mazda MX5.
First in Class 1 front wheel drive under 150” was Andrew Bridgewater in his Fiesta, followed by Duncan Smith in a Fiesta. Third was Matt Law, also in a Fiesta. The production car auto test (driver with passenger) was won by Cameron Probert in a Sierra #1.
The organisers and competitors offer sincere thanks to all the marshals on a chilly winter’s afternoon. The next auto test will be Saturday 1st April and is open to all comers in the Production Car Auto test class. This event is also a qualifying event on a national level enabling qualification for major championships.
