Ross made the short journey to New Road for their latest encounter in the Worcester League against Old Vigornians on Saturday, August 16th. Fast food is a staple of any amateur Saturday sportsman and with half the team stuffed full of burgers, Ross skipper Seb Warwick won the toss and wisely elected to bat first on a hard wicket. Warwick and James Tiffen were soon into their stride, with Warwick in a menacing mode and playing with gay abandon and raced to 50 from 33 balls. Tiffen was more circumspect at the other end, but provided good support and rotated the strike well. The pair moved to 108 before Warwick departed for 65 after tamely chipping Riaz to mid-off. Jack Donovan continued to keep the scoring rate high, and raced to 42 from 38 balls before holing out to Drew off the bowling of Lamb. Full report in Ross Gazette edition August 20th.
