Ross have been very instrumental in the setting up of the Herefordshire Walking Football League with Herefordshire FA.

On a very cold Thursday night at the Hereford Academy, the team acquitted themselves well over the two matches played.

First up, a game against Leominster in which the opposition rarely threatened but Ross would rue many missed chances, resulting in a 0-0 draw. The man marking ability of Alan Essex and the astute defensive abilities of Nick Morgan, enabled the midfield to press high, but no breakthrough came.

In contrast, the game against Hereford Bulls was free flowing, as Ross took the lead twice through Dixie Collins and Ric Casstles, only to be pegged back on both occasions.

The winner came 10 minutes before time as Ric Casstles scored his second, and Ross continued to dominate possession and territory for a 3-2 win and a deserved three points.

The Walking Football section is thriving, as there were still sufficient players not involved in the league matches to play a game at the same time in the John Kyrle Sports Hall.
