In their best performance for several weeks Ross-on-Wye Juniors under 15s won a well-earned point in a two-all draw at home to Wolverhampton Casuals.

Ross started well with some good attacking moves and it wasn’t a surprise when Luke put them in front after 10 minutes.

Wolverhampton are a good team and looked dangerous on the counter-attack, a fear which was borne out when they equalised with an excellent goal on the half-hour.

But Ross weren’t put off and within five minutes were back in front when Joel burst through to shoot and score.

The Juniors were playing excellent football with Josh and Wilf both having especially good games in midfield.

In the second half of the game Ross became more open and Wolverhampton equalised from a corner. A few minutes later Ross thought they had retaken the lead, but the goal was ruled offside, to the disappointment of the home fans.

In the final minutes Wolverhampton came close to stealing a late winner with a shot from the edge of the box, but Ross goalie Kane tipped the ball onto the post and the game ended with a well-earned draw.
