Seven seems to be the lucky number for Ross Juniors Men, last week they won 7-2 against St Briavels and this week, the team won 7-1 against Yorkley.

Ross Juniors Men played at home on Saturday, November 5th against the Yorkley Reserves. Ross kicked off the match and within the first five minutes they were on the score sheet. The ball was crossed in from Shaun Aston for Bradley Wooding to a head on goal; the keeper got a hand to it, but the ball ended in the back of the net 1 - 0.

The game went a bit quiet for the next 20 minutes, as Yorkley tried to get back into the match but, after 25 minutes, Ross was awarded a free kick. This was taken by Callum McCulloch. It was cleared up field, but Wayne Husbands got hold of it and played a blinder of a ball through to Ben Gardner, who slotted the ball home in the bottom corner.

The Ross Juniors were playing some attractive football, passing the ball around well, when McCulloch picked it up in midfield. He played the ball over the top to Bradley, who hit a sweet strike, dipping it over the keeper.

Just before half time, McCulloch again ran from his own half with the ball to take on a few players. He passed to Bradley Wooding, who had a one-on-one with the keeper, and chipped him to make it 4 - 0 at half-time.

Ross knew they had the game in the bag when they came out for the second half, but after 55 minutes the defence got too comfortable, and Bosco Barnett was chipped by the Yorkley striker.

Ross made some changes, bringing on Tom Peachey and Dave Nicholls, who had been out of the game for a while, with a long time injury. They were changed for Billy Jenson and Jack Bray.

After a quick corner, taken by Paul Wooding to Brad, the cross shot ended in the top corner to make it 5 - 1 at 60 minutes.

Another ten minutes passed, with Bosco having very little to do. He was then called into action with a fine save.

The ball was played from the back up to Paul Wooding, with a fine through ball to Brad, who again scored past the keeper.

Just before the final whistle, Ross was still pressing and with pressure on the Yorkley defence, Nicholls hit home from a McCulloch cross to finish the rout 7 - 1.

The Golf Sports Bar Man of the Match went to Brad Wooding for his performance up front.

This week Ross are at Ross Sports Centre to Puma in the cup: 2pm kick off.
