The Hereford Scrumpy Boys over 50s walking football team recently played another three matches in the Gloucester League.

The first game, which Hereford dominated, ended in a 0-0 draw with Malmesbury. The next two games saw them victorious, with 2-0 wins against Cirencester and Stroud.

Along with a walk over against Tewksbury, the Scrumpy Boys now find themselves third in the league, with three matches to play.

Entry into the Gloucester League has been a great success for the Scrumpy Boys, particularly as they lost the first three games of the season.

Next year they will be entering an over 60 team, along with the over 50 squad. The players will be taking a well earned break over the next week and going on tour to Weston Super Mare.

The club is keen and looking to recruit new experienced players, anyone interested should contact Mark Catlin on 07756 108501.
