Ross-on-Wye Juniors U9s entertained Presteigne Colts on Saturday hoping to continue their good run of form. The opening few minutes saw chances at both ends and it was the visitors who went closest to opening the scoring, but their forward’s shot cleared the crossbar before Morgan tried his luck from long range.

Owen was called on to make a good save in the Ross goal and Tyron made a crucial last ditch tackle to deny the visitors and then Ross began to create their own good chances with Zak seeing his shot well saved and then shooting wide from the rebound.

Tyron and Euan started to take charge in the Ross defence to keep the home side in control and pin their opponent’s in their own half. As a result, Euan found himself in good positions to try his luck from distance and went close on a couple of occasions. Riley also tried his luck from distance.
