Hereford FC has released a statement to say that a advisor from the Football Association will be attending tomorrow’s game against Salisbury. They will be observing the club’s actions and the actions of the crowd before, during and after the match.

This follows a smoke bomb being ignited and thrown in the Meadow End at the FA Vase Sixth Round tie against Camberley Town on Saturday, February 20th.

As a result of this, the Football Association (FA) requested a comprehensive response to the incident from Hereford FC.

A spokesman for the club said "This led to two full days of evidence gathering at the club – including a review of CCTV footage – and the compilation of a 4,000 word document to respond to the FA.

"In addition, at significant cost to the club, we were advised to upgrade the stadium CCTV system, replacing the existing cameras with high definition models to increase the range of the view. This has been done.

"We cannot overstate how seriously the FA treat incidents like the one that occurred at the Camberley game, and that they have a wide range of punishments available to them if further incidents occur."

Hereford FC have said that they will not hesitate to take action against any individual who acts in a way that costs the club thousands of pounds, but could also tarnish the good reputation of the club.
