Two teams from Ross-on-Wye Juniors Girls, managed by Kevin and Rob, have been celebrating the news that they have been invited to play at Arsenal’s PDC at England’s St George’s Park.
Arsenal Football Club Community Development Centre was set up in February 2009, and the Player Development Centre sessions offer young players the opportunity to train twice a week and play regular structured games at weekends. Sessions are delivered by FA and UEFA qualified coaches, taking place in a safe and enjoyable environment.
This invitation follows last year when members of Ross Juniors current U13s girls team had this memorable experience and got a chance to pit their skills against other players and clubs at the reigning WSL Champions player development centre.
Further exciting news came with the announcement that the U8 Girls are to be mascots for Ross Juniors sister club Birmingham City women in their WSL fixture with Arsenal Women.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
