Ross Juniors Men played at home on Saturday, December 3rd and won 4 - 1. After Puma knocked Ross out the cup, the local players were determined to get a result against them.

Ross started the game really brightly and were creating chances for the front two of Ben Gardner and Tom Peachey. However, they just couldn’t find the back of the net. Thirty minutes in the ball was kicked up field from keeper Wayne Husbands, the Puma keeper made a half hearted clearance for the ball to fall to Gardner, which he took on and smashed it across the keeper to make the score 1 - 0.

A few minutes later Ross was awarded a penalty for a foul inside of the box. Callum McCulloch stepped up to take it and made it 2 - 0 before half time.

Ross was clearly in control of the match during the second half.

The back three of Paul Wooding, Shaun Aston and Kristian Milnes were keeping the opposition at bay.

Peachey scored Ross’s third goal with a through ball from the midfield. And the fourth goal came from another spot kick which McCulloch slotted past the keeper.

The game finished at 4 - 1. And the Golf Sports Bar Man of the Match went to Paul Wooding for his organisation skills and experience from the back.
