Ross Junior under 8s played two more games of Futsal at the Point 4 Centre in Hereford on Saturday, February 15.

Still without their regular keeper, the Under 8 Juniors played Tenbury Tigers with William once again stepping in goal. A cagey opening saw Ross score the first goal - a thunderous strike from Max’s hammer of a left foot. Tenbury came out fighting and put Ross under pressure as they tried to get an equaliser. The Ross defence held firm and Monty then slotted the second Ross goal. Tenbury got a consolation goal at the end, which they fully deserved.

Straight after the first game, Ross Junior U8s had to cross pitches and play the second match straight away. A couple of the boys were struggling at this stage but they gave their all against a very good Orleton All Stars team. Orelton went 1-0 up before Ellis equalised. The game was very even but Orleton were that bit fresher and scored three good breakaway goals. Monty popped up again to reduce the score-line with a cheeky flick from close-range but Orleton held firm and Ross just couldn’t break them down. With a couple of players not feeling well and a couple more away on holiday, it was a good effort from Ross under 8s against two excellent, well-organised teams.
